Introducing one of the GREATEST INVENTIONS EVER! The LadyBug Nail Polish Holder

Hello Friends,

I am extremely excited about today's post. As I was looking through fellow nail polish bloggers posts, I came across a blogger who did a review on this product and I said to myself 'I gotta get me one of these!' and 'Why have I never seen something so practical yet so cute before?'. It felt like Christmas had come early when I received my latest purchase.

BLOG CAUTION: This post is picture and word heavy!

Speaking for myself, I view painting my nails as a great way to end a busy day and find it quite therapeutic! With all things, sometimes there are factors that could make things a little more simpler. For example, while painting, I hold the nail polish in between my knees. Sometimes I have to find that 'sweet spot' where the bottle won't slip through (I don't think saying 'I wanted a new look for our couch' when polish spills would end greatly). From this, I have many nail polish marks on robes and pyjamas because of how I sit while painting.  Sometimes I also wish for a never ending bottle of my favourite bottle of polish or quick dry top coat. When half the polish has been used, I already have to start tilting the bottle most times. Holding a bottle at an angle is even trickier just to get the last bits of polish!

This is where the LadyBug Nail Polish Holder comes in. The holder claims to eliminate annoying and destructive nail polish spills, can be tipped at an angle when polish runs low, holds many bottle sizes and shapes, designed to withstand a fall, and it may rock and wobble but it won't tip over.

Here are some images of the holder still in it's packaging:

Here are some images of the product out of the packing:

It looks rather chunky in pictures but it is actually quite compact being approximately 10.5cm in diameter and 5cm in height.

I put this beauty to the test and this is the range of bottles that I used:

From left to right we have: Essie, Rimmel (normal size), OPI Quick Dry drops, Rimmel (mini size), Chanel, Sinful Colors, Sally Hansen, China Glaze, Revlon, Shu Uemura, Savvy, Rokk96, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry, Sportsgirl, Maybelline, OPI and China Glaze Matte Magic.

Here they are in action:

A closer look of the item in action. The holder can be placed upright for a full bottle and can be tilted when running low or even when full.

Bottles such as OPI and China Glaze were a very snug fit. So, did they all fit? Unfortunately, no. There was only one bottle that didn't fit and that was Maybelline when placed on the longer diagonal section of the foam. Based on the size of the bottle I am guessing that Deborah Lippman bottles may also not fit. If anyone has any tips and tricks or has managed to get these bottles to fit - let me know! It could simply be me being a little too gentle with it.

Did someone say 'it will rock and wobble but won't tip over?' And 'designed to withstand a fall?' Of course I tried these too and these claims are not lies at all. I dropped the holder at a certain height and there were no dents in it - as good as new! When I used the holder for the first time, I accidentally knocked the holder (polish on nails were ok, phew!) but it didn't spin or spill, it just wobbled. If it could talk it might have even said 'What else you got? Try me!'. Of course I tried to push the boundaries. I had an opened bottle of polish inserted and knocked it at the same level of strength as I think I may knock it while painting and it did not tip or spill. Of course, if you do knock it pretty roughly, there may be some cleaning up to do but really, you wouldn't do that while painting your nails.

What's the verdict?

Pros:
* Flexible foam holds various bottle sizes and shapes
*Three anti-slip plastic circles ensures that the holder is sturdy even when tilted
* Paint your nails anywhere e.g. out by the pool while catching some 'rays, out on the back deck
* You can now get more out of your bottle when polish is running low
* Open the bottle easily even when inserted into the foam
* Easy to store away so it will not interfere too much on nail polish storage space
* Does not tip
* Spill proof
* Light-weight and sturdy design

Cons:
* Could not get larger bottles such as Maybelline (and maybe Deborah Lippman) to fit

Where can you get neat invention? This item is available from my eBay store here. *

Friends, what do you think about this new and exciting product? I am so excited to own this item. I am now certain that I will no longer get nail polish on my clothes or other parts of furniture AND get more polish from my favourite colours! I am very impressed with this product.

Until next time! Get one!

* Product was purchased by myself for review. Items are for sale through my store as I simply like to share Maisky's Favourite Things!
