I have recently fallen in love with the look of bold, white nails. My nail colour of choice is not based on what outfit I am wearing but to me, white is a staple colour that goes with everything. I have heard how white polish can come across as looking trashy but I think with so many nail polish enthusiasts out there with so many different looks and colours to chose from, the boundary lines to determine what is trashy or not is slowly disappearing. 


Quick snap! I had to get myself a bottle of white polish and happened to find Essie Marshmallow which is more of a white jelly colour. I am not a professional at painting, so painting sheer colours or jelly colours require a little bit more concentration! I actually put a base colour on using OPI Alpine Snow thinking that it will help with the sheer-jelly-ness. Instead I ended up putting three coats of Essie Marshmallow on top! It was super tricky to apply and I really buggered up the pinky finger. The jelly style of the polish softens the look - which I love. 


White nails reminds me of back in the days at school when we started using 'liquid paper' or 'white out'. Back then it was in a little bottle and I remember making an error (as you do when writing with pen!) and used liquid paper to correct my mistake and due to my clumsiness, I would accidentally paint some liquid paper onto my nails. The painting of the rest of the entire nail was definitely no accident. Ah... the things I did back then at school!
