One, One Leopard Accent Nail! AH AH AH AH AH!

Hello Friends,

The recent downpour of rain has made me go a little bit loco and has made me realise how much I actually enjoy doing outdoor activities here and there no matter how many sleep-ins and bludge sessions I end up doing. This includes my recent interest in cycling...I'm eager to get back on the bike! I always joke with the husband that the main reason for my recent interest in cycling is because I want him to see the back of my shirt every time we go for a long cycle. I know it will be a challenge to beat him at the sport he performs his best at but it's going to be fun trying.

Back onto the topic of going loco, I couldn't help but name the title of this post with 'Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah' at the end as I was trying to sound like The Count from Sesame Street. Anything that involves a number needs to have a laugh at the end.

The main colour used is OPI Panda-Monium Pink and the leopard stamp is from Konad m57. The image was stamped with Konad Special Polish in black. I decided to highlight some of the markings with blue and white to add a bit more contrast.

I must apologise for the lack of natural lighting in this image but it was hard to find natural light when it's raining outside. The rain is sticking around longer than this look. You know me... always changing it up!

What fun things do you do to keep you occupied when it is constantly raining outside?

Until next time!

Rockin' Rokk96 Nail Polish

Hello Friends,

Australia Day 2012 is drawing to an end and there is a riveting tennis match on tellie at the moment for the Australian Open, yet I feel the need to update my blog with one of the latest nail polish looks that I was very proud to be wearing.

I recently bought Rokk96 nail polish from Price Attack called 211 Honeymoon. At the time of purchase I didn't feel like splurging on a popular branded bottle of polish and thought I'd purchase a brand that I have never tried before and actually got two bottles due to it's affordable price. Well, I was always going to buy more than one polish anyway but we'll stick with the affordable price story.

The application of this 'coral with a slight hint of pink finish colour' was actually thicker than what I am normally used to. This is a pretty vibrant summer colour and this colour does Rokk! (Sorry, corny but that's just how I roll). Luckily I am into nail stamping so if I don't feel like using this colour as a base, I can still use for stamping!

I decided to do some subtle nail stamping with Bundle Monster plate bm208 with Revlon Gold Coin. This is what the image plate looks like:

When wearing this look at a recent family gathering, it was suggested that I should not wear 'unusual' colours but I should wear more 'normal' colours such as red. To that lovely family member, thanks for the suggestion but NO THANKS! Don't get me wrong. I love my reds too but there are so many extraordinary colours out there that I haven't even began to experiment with yet. Life's too short for one colour.

Until next time. Rokk On.

NOTD: OPI A Grape Fit

Hello Friends,

We have recently had true summer heat to the point where my hyperhydrosis went into overdrive. Luckily I had many bottles of water handy.

Today's feature colour is from OPI's Bright Pair with Paige Denim range called A Grape Fit. I believe that there is at least one generic colour out there for every nail polish enthusiast that makes them melt. Purple is one of the colours that I am drawn to.

My all time 'go to' purple creme colour was OPI Do You Lilac It and now I have another purple to add to the list if I feel like a slighter darker shade of purple.

This is a great summer colour. What colour do you go ga-ga for?

Until next time!

NOTD: OPI Suzi Says Feng Shui

Hello Friends,

Happy 2012!

After taking a short break to enjoy the Christmas and New Year festivities, it is time to set the wheels in motion for what seems like a big 2012 up ahead. Reflecting back, last year was the year of our wedding. This is the year of our belated honeymoon to USA and Hawaii. I previously didn't believe in making new year resolutions but for the past couple of years, I ended up following through with goals I set in place for myself. One of my goals this year is to learn how to swim! The challenge is finding swimming classes that caters for adults.

I recently acquired a few new nail polish colours (consider them Christmas presents to myself) and one of the colours is the feature of today's post. It is from OPI's 2010 Hong Kong collection and is called Suzi Says Feng Shui. At first glance, some may think it's an ordinary blue creme colour. I have a couple of other blue creme colours that I have purchased because it looks great on others, but no so much on me so I was asking myself 'Did I buy another blue colour that I will never ever wear?' Upon closer inspection, it has a dusty appearance which gives the colour a unique look and we all know how I love unique colours! This colour is here to stay (that is, in my nail polish collection).

Only two coats were used and I feel like a third would do the colour a little more justice so will keep that in mind for next time. This colour will also make a great base colour for any nail stamping looks I do in future.

Did anyone make any new year resolutions? Hope you are all having a great start to the year.

Until next time!
